Ryan Minion's Dodgers vs White Sox Prop Pick
By Ryan Minion
I favor backing Dodgers’ eight-time All-Star and 2018 American League MVP winner, Mookie Betts.
Betts was moved to shortstop in the offseason to improve Los Angeles’ defensive infield, though he missed several weeks to kick off his 2026 campaign due to a strained right oblique injury.
While Betts has largely struggled since his return to action a month ago, I think this is a great spot to target the Dodgers’ slugger versus Fedde.
In four previous at-bats against Fedde, Betts has recorded two hits.
Given I expect runs to be plentiful, I expect there to frequently be runners on the base paths, which is why I favor targeting Betts to exceed his 1.5 HRR mark in Sunday afternoon’s interleague showdown.
Pick: Mookie Betts Over 1.5 HRR (-162)
Sean Paul's Phillies vs Brewers ML Pick
By Sean Paul
In Game 1, the Brewers gave the ball to the Miz. Now, the Phillies will counter in the finale with CY Young contender Cristopher Sanchez.
Sanchez has given up just three runs in his last 54 innings, two coming in his last outing against the Blue Jays. We're at the point where seven innings and two runs feel like a "bad start" for Sanchez, which speaks to his dominance.
He boasts a 1.54 ERA with a 2.77 xERA and a 1.86 FIP. He also went 7+ innings in his last seven outings.
Don’t let Kyle Harrison’s 2.72 ERA fool you. His ERA was a pristine 1.57 before pitching in the atrocity that is the Athletics AAA Ballpark in Las Vegas.
Despite his eight earned runs in a 2 1/3 inning meltdown earlier this week, Harrison sports a sub-3.00 ERA with a solid 3.46 xERA and 3.11 FIP.
Both are left-handed hitters — and while both handle lefties well, Sanchez is a different breed. He holds lefties to a .143 average with a .359 OPS and just one homer all season.
Milwaukee will start at least four left-handed hitters, so this is just a bad matchup.
Perhaps Andrew Vaughn, who sports a 315 wRC+ against southpaws in 38 ABs, will pitch in some power.
In all, it's too hard to pass on the Phillies to win a Sanchez start at a -118 price tag. Even on the road, he's one of the best pitchers in the sport — if not the best and I'll look to back him when the price warrants it — and it does here.
Pick: Phillies ML (Play to -145)
Doug Ziefel's Cubs vs Giants Best Bet
By Doug Ziefel
It's safe to say that Logan Webb is back. After a rough start to the season that culminated with a trip to the injured list, the game's best groundball artist has rounded into form over his last five starts.
In that span, Webb has a 2.67 ERA, a 34.3 percent chase rate, and has allowed flyballs on just 22.9 percent of balls put in play. That flyball rate is staggeringly low and is the key to his success against the Chicago Cubs this afternoon.
The Cubs have been sneaky good against righties, holding a team wRC+ of 104 and an OPS of over 700. However, their success comes from their ability to elevate and celebrate, as they have the third-highest flyball rate against righties in the majors.
Now, not only are the flyballs going to be diminished because of Webb, but Oracle Park is one of the worst parks in baseball for homers, with longballs happening 21 percent less than league average there.
When Webb is on, he is extremely efficient and works deep into games, and he's gone at least seven innings in three of his last five outings. With the Cubs being an aggressive lineup that won't drive the ball this afternoon, look for Webb to eat up more innings today.
Pick: Logan Webb Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (+125, bet365)
Frank Ammirante's Rangers vs Red Sox F5 Pick
Nathan Eovaldi has hit a rough patch lately, putting up a 6.23 xERA and 15.5% barrel rate in his last three starts. Connelly Early is ripe for regression, with a 4.56 xERA compared to a 3.30 ERA.
On top of that, we're getting favorable hitting weather at Fenway Park tonight. Forecasts call for 86-degree temperatures with 15 MPH winds blowing out.
That's why the number is a little higher than usual, with 9 for the full-game total and 4.5 (juiced to the over) on the first five innings total.
We'll bet on favorable hitting conditions with one struggling pitcher and another regression candidate by targeting this over.
Pick: Rangers/Red Sox F5 Over 4.5 (-115)
