Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings and Barstool Sportsbook.

This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half-innings from two different games. This approach allows you to tailor the bet to your preferences.

Our first selection for today's custom NRFI showcases Miami Marlins pitcher Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo has been nothing short of exceptional this season, boasting an impressive 18-2 NRFI record, including a near-perfect 10-1 record at home. This brings his overall NRFI record to an outstanding 36-4 since 2022.

Luzardo has displayed sheer brilliance when facing batters for the first time through the order, allowing only 32 hits in 171 at-bats, resulting in a low .187 average.

Luzardo has a relatively small sample size against the Rockies, but the advantage still lies with him, as the Rockies' hitters he has faced in the past, such as Jurickson Profar (0-for-5), Ryan McMahon (0-for-3) and CJ Cron (1-for-3), have been held in check.

Our second selection for today's custom NRFI features Joe Musgrove of the San Diego Padres. Musgrove has also been in top form, boasting an impressive 12-3 NRFI record to bring his overall NRFI record to a remarkable 35-8 since 2022.

Similar to Luzardo, Musgrove has a small sample size against the Tigers' hitters, and the advantage once again lies with him. The hitters he has faced, such as Javier Báez (2-for-17), Miguel Cabrera (1-for-4) and Zach McKinstry (0-for-2), have been kept quiet.

Additionally, it should be noted that both Kerry Carpenter and Spencer Torkelson are in the midst of significant slumps, with Carpenter racking up only four hits in his last 21 at-bats for a .191 average and Torkelson having five hits in his last 26 at-bats for a .192.

This custom NRFI is priced at (-185) over at DraftKings.

As always, six outs to glory…
