Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings, BetMGM and Barstool. This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half innings from the first innings of two different games. This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.

Our first selection for today's custom NRFI is Spencer Strider, the talented ace of the Atlanta Braves. Strider has been impressive this season, holding an impressive 11-4 NRFI record. His overall NRFI performance since 2022 stands at 29-6.

When facing batters for the first time through the order, Strider has been terrific, allowing only a .203 batting average. Today, Strider has the advantage of facing Minnesota Twins batters whom he has never encountered before, except for Christian Vázquez (0-2) and Kyle Farmer (0-1). The element of unfamiliarity will work in Strider's favor.

Additionally, there are a few struggling Minnesota Twins batters in the past week, including Joey Gallo (2-18), Kyle Farmer (3-16), and Donovan Solano (3-15).

Our second selection for today’s custom NRFI is the veteran and former Cy Young winner Justin Verlander of the New York Mets. Verlander holds a shaky 4-5 NRFI record this season. However, he has faced some unfavorable matchups in the past against strong teams such as the Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Verlander in his career is also one of the best NRFI pitchers the game has ever seen. Today, Verlander gets the advantage of facing the Milwaukee Brewers, a weaker hitting team.

In addition, there are some struggling Milwaukee Brewers hitters in the past week, including Raimel Tapia (1-12), Jesse Winker (1-11) and Owen Miller (3-15).

Lastly, Verlander has a favorable history against certain Brewers hitters, holding Willie Adames (2-9), Christian Yelich (0-6), Rowdy Tellez (0-3) and Jesse Winker (3-20) in check.

This custom NRFI is available at both Barstool and DraftKings Sportsbook at the price of (-175).

As always, six outs to glory…
