  • There's another loaded MLB slate today and plenty of props are on the board.
  • Our analyst has identified five plays on his PrizePicks card from two games: Nationals vs. Phillies and Dodgers vs. Padres.
  • Read his full breakdown of the top PrizePicks props for Saturday below.

Saturday's MLB slate features 15 games, which means there are plenty of player props to take advantage of across the board.

Player props have become among the most popular bets in the industry, but while the amount of states with legalized gambling is growing, some may feel left out.

Enter PrizePicks.

With PrizePicks, you get the opportunity to essentially parlay game prop over/unders with cash payouts depending on how many you get correct on that day’s slate.

Therefore, let’s take a look at some of the options on Saturday’s Major League Baseball slate and see where we can find some value to turn a profit.

A quick refresher if you aren’t familiar with PrizePicks: you can combine up to five different O/U player props to payout up to 10x your wager.

You can do a Flex Play or a Power Play. A Flex Play gives you lesser odds, but you can win money even if you don’t nail every pick. Meanwhile, a Power Play is similar to a parlay — it’s all or nothing.

Here’s how I would approach today’s MLB slate.

What is PrizePicks? A daily fantasy operator — meaning they’re available in more states (30) than sports betting is! — PrizePicks offers a unique opportunity for action on player props in which you parlay two or more plays together.

Ranger Suarez Pitcher Fantasy Score Over 27.5

We have the second matchup of this three-game NL East intradivisional series with the Philadelphia Phillies hosting the WashingtonNationals. Left-hander Ranger Suarez is slated to take the mound for Philadelphia and should be an excellent candidate to back in this contest.

Through 24 starts this season, Suarez is 8-5 with a 3.53 ERA and 1.33 WHIP. While those numbers are fine, he has really turned It up in the second half of the campaign.

Over his last nine starts, Suarez is 2-0 with a 2.22 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. This strong stretch of pitching should continue against Washington, a team he has been successful against since making his debut in 2018.

Across 10 career pitching appearances against the Nationals, Suarez is 4-0 with a 3.04 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. Since Aug. 1, Washington ranks just 20th in the league in SLG, 21st in OPS, and 20th in wOBA.

Based on his metrics, we should not expect any regression from Suarez, who boasts a .293 xwOBA, .235 xBA, and .346 xSLG this season.

Alec Bohm Hitter Fantasy Score Over 7.5

We are also backing a few Philadelphia hitters in this contest as they are slated to go against right-hander Erick Fedde. It has been a tough campaign for Fedde, who is just 6-9 with a 5.08 ERA and 1.52 WHIP through 22 starts.

Additionally, he enters this game in particularly poor form. Over Fedde's last six starts, he is 1-4 with a 7.43 ERA and 1.91 WHIP.

Based on his metrics, we should not expect any positive regression from Fedde, who possesses a .345 xwOBA, .273 xBA, and .425 xSLG. The first Phillies hitter we are backing in this game is Alec Bohm.

Bohm has been a staple in Philadelphia's lineup all season, proving to be one of their better hitters. We are getting a generous number here because Bohm has traditionally struggled against right-handed pitching.

However, Fedde is bad enough to where that should not matter. Additionally, Bohm's metrics suggest that we should see an even stronger finish to his season.

Boasting a .340 xwOBA, .299 xBA, and .447 xSLG this year, Bohm has a great opportunity to see some of that positive regression realized against the struggling Fedde.

Bryce Harper Hitter Fantasy Score Over 8

The other Philadelphia batter we are backing in this game is superstar Bryce Harper. His numbers against Fedde are absurd, a trend that should continue in this game.

Through 21 career plate appearances against the right-hander, Harper boasts a .500 BA, 1.389 SLG, and .759 wOBA with five homers. Traditionally a right-handed killer, he is slashing a .328 BA, .603 SLG, and .991 OPS against them this season.

Like Bohm, Harper's metrics are excellent as he boasts a .398 xwOBA, .302 xBA, and .553 xSLG.

Chris Taylor Over 0.5 Total Bases

We have the second matchup of this three-game NL West intradivisional series with the San Diego Padres hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers. Going against left-hander Blake Snell, we will be backing a few Dodgers hitters, starting with Chris Taylor.

Taylor enters this game in solid form, going over this total in seven of his last 12 games (58%). We should expect this trend to continue against San Diego's left-hander.

Through 15 career plate appearances against Snell, Taylor boasts a .267 BA, .733 SLG, and .407 wOBA.

Mookie Betts Hitter Fantasy Score Over 7.5

The other L.A. hitter we are backing in this game is Mookie Betts. Through 42 career plate appearances against Snell, Betts boasts a .296 xBA, .464 xSLG, and .364 xwOBA.

Betts has been performing excellently at the plate since the end of August, hitting six homers over his last 13 games. When facing left-handed pitchers this season, his numbers jump by roughly 22%, posting a .326 BA, .659 SLG, and 1.048 OPS.

We should not expect regression from the Dodgers' outfielder, who boasts a .351 xwOBA, .258 xBA, and .476 xSLG this season.
