Warriors vs Spurs NBA Preview

On Tuesday night, the Thunder defeated the Warriors 126-102 before they went to San Antonio.

Early on, it looked like another blowout was in store as the Spurs held a double-digit lead for much of the first half.

However, Stephen Curry would not let his team lose.

Even on the second night of a back-to-back, the 37-year-old dropped 46 points (29 in the second half) while going 13-for-25 from the field and 15-for-16 from the free throw line as the Warriors rallied for a 125-120 victory.

In his second career start, Will Richard did not make a notable impression on the stat sheet (3 points in 22 minutes), but he did impress his head coach and knocked down a big 3 in the fourth quarter.

Steve Kerr has liked what Richard, the 56th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, has brought to the team as a connector and stated that both he and Moses Moody will remain in the starting lineup, replacing Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski.

Kuminga had gotten off to a fast start to this season, but he has scored 10 points or fewer in four of his last six games.

He entered Wednesday's game questionable with a knee injury and left the game after playing 12 minutes.

He is listed as questionable once again tonight.

For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama had 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists in the loss.

He recorded the last assist on the final play of the game to Stephon Castle for his fourth career triple-double.

Castle joined him in recording a triple-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists himself.

De'Aaron Fox played in his third game of the season as he rounds back into form. He is averaging 19.3 points, four rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game this season.

However, he has also had six turnovers in each of his last two games, and the Spurs committed 20 as a team on Wednesday.

The over has hit in six of the last 10 meetings between these teams, and there is another high total tonight.

That trend will have a chance of continuing if the teams make as many 3s as they did on Wednesday. The Warriors went 21-for-57 and the Spurs went 14-for-39 from deep.

Warriors vs Spurs Prediction, Betting Analysis

After winning Rookie of the Year last season, Stephon Castle has made even more strides as a playmaker.

He is averaging 7.9 assists per game this season, nearly doubling his average from his rookie year.

Fox's absence was a factor, but Castle has had 10 assists with all three games with Fox this season and four straight overall.

Now, Dylan Harper remains out as well.

Additionally, Castle has recorded four rebounds in every game this season and is averaging 6.1 per game.

As a result, Castle has recorded 13 rebounds and assists combined in seven of 11 games, as well as all three games since Fox's return.

You can also back him at +240 to record a double-double on Fanatics.

Castle helped the Spurs win the rebounding battle 49-40 on Wednesday, along with the double big lineup of Wembanyama and Luke Kornet.

Wembanyama is averaging 13 rebounds per game this season, and he has pulled down 11 or more in eight of 11 games this season.

Meanwhile, Curry had his second 40-point game of the season and is now averaging 27.1 points per game.

He has scored 23 points in seven of 10 games this season, as well as four of his last six against San Antonio.

Pick: Stephon Castle Over 12.5 Rebounds + Assists (-120, Fanatics)
