The New York Knicks head into Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 3-0 stranglehold on the Cleveland Cavaliers. This series has been one-sided in favor of the Knickerbockers, and now New York is one win away from securing a spot in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. But for tonight, there will be one player that I'll be zeroing in on.

The Cavs don't have an answer for Mikal Bridges.
Maybe this is the game that Mikal Bridges finally doesn't shoot a million percent from the field, actually doesn't get to his mid-range spots with ease, and is played with more resistance while on offense.
Or maybe, this is just a continuation of what we've seen all series.
The Cavs have to put defenders on Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby first. You have Josh Hart, who has already burned the Cavs for five 3s while being dared to beat them in Game 2.
So Bridges typically isn't being assigned the best perimeter defender on Cleveland, a team that doesn't have a bunch of Tony Allens to begin with.
Bridges has scored 18 on 7-of-11, 19 on 9-of-12, and 22 on 11-of-15 in this series.
In the playoffs, since being awoken in Game 6 of the Hawks series, he's averaging 19.1 points on 69 percent shooting, with a blistering 10-for-21 from 3 and a perfect 9-for-9 on free throws.
Typically, I'd say this has to fall off at some point, but unless the Cavs show a pulse, this will keep happening because you can't get in the way of divine intervention.
And evidently, the Knicks have been touched by God since falling behind 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks on April 23, and haven't lost since.
