Thunder vs Suns NBA Playoffs Game 4 Preview
Phoenix Suns Betting Preview, Analysis
For me, the biggest issue for the Suns is actually injuries.
You need a competent center to bang up the middle of the floor, grab offensive rebounds, and force help inside against the Thunder — and Mark Williams does that for Phoenix, but he’s out for this series.
The other thing you need is defenders who can shoot — and Jordan Goodwin is also questionable for the Suns tonight.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview, Analysis
Road favorites leading 3-0 in a series, such as the Thunder, are 32-15 SU and 27-20 ATS since 2003 — and road favorites of -10 or more are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS.
If a team comes this far, they usually finish the job.
Thunder vs Suns Pick, Betting Analysis
Spread: Thunder -10.5
The Suns are a feisty group and should be able to build off their success this season, but the Thunder are simply in another class, and they don’t lose focus.
The Thunder are too young to be bored with their success, and too experienced to get caught off guard.
The Suns’ timer is up, and it’s time for the Thunder to take them out of the oven and head to the second round.
Total: Under 213.5
We have another total that’s been bumped up from the opening line, moving up two points. But I make this number 211, and if the Suns are going to try and get a win their last home game of the season, it’ll start on the defensive end.
The Suns will try and make this a muddy game, but they’ll also try to hit a bunch of three-pointers, which has been a struggle.
The games have gotten faster since the opener, and the Thunder have given up more points in each of the games than the previous. That trend doesn’t seem likely to hold here, especially since I’m predicting the Thunder to win by more than 10 points.
I’ll trust OKC’s defense and Phoenix’s hustle-and-heart to pull down the scoring and keep this under the total.
Player Prop: Devin Booker Under 28.5 Points & Assists
Booker has gone under this line in six straight games, and all three games of this series.
The Suns' shooters seem to be pretty shaken up by the intensity of the Thunder's defense.
This seems like a good opportunity to bet another under in what could be a blowout. They won’t risk playing Booker long minutes, even for the last home game of the season.
