The Georgia Bulldogs pulled off a signature win over the Clemson Tigers in Week 1, but not without a couple bumps and bruises.
Quarterback JT Daniels notably landed on the injury report for Week 2 against UAB. He's questionable against the Blazers with an oblique issue.
Georgia opened as a 26.5-point favorite, but that was bet all the way down to -24.5 at DraftKings throughout the week. The total is listed at 45.
Should Daniels be sidelined, it'll be either Stetson Bennett or Carson Beck leading the offense, and that's sure to impact the Action Network's Collin Wilson's Power Ratings.
"I would make it a minimum of a four-point drop-off if it's Stetson Bennett," Wilson noted. "If they go Carson Beck, then seven."
Daniels, a transfer from USC, completed 22-of-30 passes for 177 yards and one interception in the win over Clemson. He was +1400 to win the Heisman before the season.
Bennett, a former walk-on and two-star high school prospect, saw meaningful action in 2020. He started in five of eight games, posting eight touchdowns and six interceptions.
Beck, meanwhile, is a pro-style quarterback out of the 2018 class. He's a former four-star prospect who was formerly awarded Mr. Football in the state of Florida.
Georgia can't afford to sleepwalk off its upset win. UAB's a formidable mid-major, fresh off a Conference USA title under Bill Clark.
The head coach has posted a 30-20-1 (60%) clip against the spread since 2017, which is tied for the seventh-best mark in the entire country.
