After Thursday Night Football

Kyler Murray's Hail Mary elevation up the board was halted a bit after Thursday night's loss to the Cardinals.

Murray threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns on the national stage, but ran for just 15 yards, his lowest total of the season. The loss saw his MVP odds fall from +700 to +1200.

Russell Wilson, meanwhile, completed 23-of-28 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns. He surprisingly bested Murray on the ground, totaling 42 yards on 10 carries.

Before Thursday Night Football

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been among the award favorites all season, but Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray vaulted himself into the MVP conversation following his team's dramatic last-second victory over the Buffalo Bills last week.

Let's take a look at the latest NFL MVP odds and how crucial that win was for Murray's chances as he gets ready to face off against Wilson on Thursday Night Football.

NFL MVP Odds: Kyler Murray vs. Russell Wilson

Following Week 10, Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes is the favorite to win NFL MVP at +180, followed by Wilson (+225), Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers (+300) and Murray (+700).

And while Mahomes, Wilson and Rodgers have been among the MVP favorites for most (if not all) of the season, Murray's stock has skyrocketed since Sunday.

As mentioned above, Kyler is now fourth on the odds list at +700, up significantly from +3300 prior to last week's game against Buffalo.

In addition, Murray has a golden opportunity to improve his chances even further with a matchup against Wilson and the Seahawks looming on Thursday.

With an over/under of 57 — one of the highest NFL totals ever tracked by our Bet Labs software — Murray and Wilson should have plenty of opportunities to put up points and pad their stats (and MVP resumes) in front of a primetime, nationally-televised audience.
