The first NFL Sunday of 2018 is in the books and it wasn't without its surprises, capped by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' comeback win (though they failed to cover the spread). There was a little something for everybody, as favorites are off to a 6-7-1 start against the spread (ATS) and overs are 8-6.
With a handful of lines moving quite a bit, as some books had lines posted for months, there were several games in which bettors could have middled.
Perhaps the most notable was the Steelers-Browns total that was as high as 47.5 at some books over the summer and as low as 40 once bettors learned of the weather forecast. Of course, the game would end in a 21-21 tie with the Browns getting a field goal blocked in the final minute of overtime. Of course.
