Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings, BetMGM and Barstool. This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half innings from the first innings of two different games. This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.

Our first NRFI selection for today features the seasoned veteran of the Kansas City Royals, Zack Greinke. Greinke has been in top form this season in terms of the NRFI, boasting a 15-3 NRFI record, which brings his overall NRFI record to 37-7 since 2022.

Greinke has established himself as the best home NRFI pitcher in baseball. When pitching at home, Greinke maintains a perfect 22-0 NRFI record since 2022.

In past matchups against the Tigers' hitters, Greinke has proven his ability to hold his own, limiting the likes of Javier Báez (3-13), Spencer Torkelson (1-5), Matt Vierling (0-2) and Kerry Carpenter (0-3). It is worth mentioning that potential leadoff hitter Matt Vierling has struggled, achieving only three hits in his last 19 at-bats.

Our second NRFI selection for today showcases the ace of the Chicago Cubs, Marcus Stroman. Stroman has been a force to be reckoned with this season, boasting an impressive 18-2 NRFI record, bringing his overall NRFI record to a remarkable 39-6 since 2022.

Similar to Greinke, Stroman excels in his home games, maintaining a 19-3 NRFI record when pitching at home since 2022. When facing batters for the first time through the order, Stroman has displayed remarkable proficiency, allowing only eight hits in 54 at-bats.

In past matchups, Stroman has also demonstrated his ability to handle the St. Louis Cardinals' bats, limiting the effectiveness of Dylan Carlson (2-10), Lars Nootbaar (4-14) and Nolan Arenado (5-23).

This custom NRFI is priced at (-139) on DraftKings Sportsbook.

As always, six outs to glory…
