The UFC is back on Saturday night from the Apex in Las Vegas with its second PPV of 2021, headlined by a welterweight title bout between teammates.
Kamaru Usman holds the belt and has done so since taking it off Tyron Woodley at UFC 235 nearly two years ago. In his third title defense, he meets Gilbert Burns, with whom he has spent the better part of the last four years training at Sanford MMA in Florida. The champion switched camps for the lead-up to this fight.
A veteran of 15 UFC fights, Burns comes into this bout on a six-fight win streak, with the last four coming at welterweight after a five-year sojourn in the lightweight division. His last two bouts earned him performance of the night bonuses, including a five-round unanimous decision win over the former champ Woodley last May.
This fight was originally scheduled for December but was pushed back to February because Usman was still recovering from injury.
Also on the card is a women's flyweight matchup between Maycee Barber and Alexa Grasso, and a middleweight clash between Kelvin Gastelum and Ian Heinisch.
The champion Usman has opened as a significant -275 favorite over the challenging Burns in the main event. See the full betting odds for the card below, and be sure to check back all week for complete coverage of UFC 258.
