76ers vs. Celtics Player Prop: Neemias Queta
Neemias Queta has recorded over 7.5 rebounds in three straight games now, and the logic remains the same: Boston simply needs his size and athleticism on the floor to bang with Joel Embiid.
Queta was able to stay out of foul trouble in Game 6—finishing with just three fouls in 20 minutes—and he turned that opportunity into 11 rebounds on 19 chances.
If you look at the volume during this recent stretch, he's getting plenty of opportunities. The game before that, he hauled in 14 rebounds on 23 chances, and the one before that was eight boards on 13 chances. Queta is a ball hawk who uses his energy to track down misses that others just aren't getting to.
You also have to consider the Embiid factor. Joel has played a lot of minutes lately coming off that significant surgery, and he’s clearly not cleaning the glass with the same intensity we see when he’s fully healthy. Embiid had 10 rebounds last game, but he isn’t dominating the boards or fighting for every contested ball the way he usually does.
Somebody has to get the rebounds for Boston, and Queta is the most reliable guy for the job right now. He’s in a perfect spot to see 20+ minutes and crash the glass tonight.
Pick: Neemias Queta Over 7.5 Rebounds (+104)
76ers vs. Celtics Player Prop: Tyrese Maxey
This line feels a bit too low, and I think it’s being suppressed by the low game total, but the volume is just too high to ignore.
Tyrese Maxey has already cleared this number in four of the six games this series, and he’s rolling right now after dropping 30 points in Game 6.
The biggest factor here is the minutes. Nick Nurse is effectively running Maxey for the entire game—he’s playing around 40 minutes every single night. Even in the matchups where Philly got smoked by 32 points, Maxey was still out there for 37 and 40 minutes. He’s simply not coming off the floor.
Maxey is the clear engine of the Sixers' offense alongside Embiid, and he is taking a ton of field goal attempts. Boston has consistently struggled to stay in front of him, and if the Celtics decide to throw more double-teams at Embiid to force the ball out of his hands, Maxey will continue to be the primary beneficiary.
Pick: Tyrese Maxey Over 23.5 Points (-120)
76ers vs. Celtics Player Prop: Baylor Scheierman
I only think this line is too low because the game total is suppressing everyone's prop projections, but 2.5 for a guy with his skill set is just too light.
Baylor Scheierman is a pure shooter; that's just what he is. However, he’s not totally averse to contact, and he can get to the paint if the defense over-closes on the perimeter.
Scheierman has scored over 2.5 points in 71% of his games over the course of the season, and if you look at the last 20, he’s cleared it in 18 of them.
Most importantly, he has hit this in every single game of this series so far. He’s been playing consistent minutes, usually somewhere between 10 and 15 per game, and I expect him to see at least 10 in Game 7 tonight.
Boston is great at finding open looks for their specialists, and at this number, we just need one three-pointer to fall.
