NBA Parlay Picks for Wizards vs. Magic
The Angle: Wizards Look to Build Winning Streak in Orlando
Anthony Davis 20+ Points
Anthony Davis is averaging a ho-hum 22 points and nine rebounds a night, and he really has not kicked it into high gear yet. In his career, Davis has a 52.1% field goal percentage and 53.5% effective field goal percentage, but this season he is at 44.5% and 47.3%, respectively.
Still, Davis has scored 18 in five of his first six games and scored 25 points in three of them. He is averaging 20.5 points in 19 career games against Orlando. He has scored 25 points in three of his last four games against them dating back to his time with the Lakers.
Pick: Anthony Davis 20+ Points
AJ Dybantsa 15+ Points
An ankle injury delayed AJ Dybantsa's NBA debut, and he is still on a minutes restriction. However, he has still done what he was drafted to do: score the ball at a high level.
Through two games, Dybantsa has scored 19 points in 27 minutes and 17 points in 30 minutes. He has a 25% usage rate through his first two games, but he also has been efficient with his opportunities.
Dybantsa is shooting 56.5% on 23 field goal attempts, and he has also made eight of nine free throw attempts. It may take time for him to earn some respect from the officials, but I expect him to start getting to the free-throw line at a high rate.
Tonight, he gets a Magic team that is 25th in defensive rating. They are 22nd in points allowed and 18th specifically to small forwards. Dybantsa could have the first 20-point game of his career tonight, and Young may help to make that happen.
Pick: AJ Dybantsa 15+ Points
Trae Young Over 9.5 Assists
I've referenced the upgraded Wizards roster already, and that is music to the ears of a passer like Trae Young. He has recorded eight assists in every game this season, with 10 assists three times already. Already with one assist title under his belt, Young is currently leading the league in assists with 10.2 assists per game thus far.
Despite that, he may not have reached his ceiling in regard to his assists. Young is averaging 20.3 potential assists per game thus far.
In the three games, he did not finish with 10 assists; he had nine assists on 22 potential assist opportunities, eight assists on 19 potential opportunities, and nine assists on 23 potential opportunities. He could have easily had 10 assists in all six games and approached 12 or more with a few more makes from his teammates.
The Wizards are 19th in offensive rating, so they definitely have room to improve as they figure out their rotation. In the meantime, they get a great matchup tonight against a struggling Magic defense, and that should also help Young clear his assists once again.
Pick: Trae Young Over 9.5 Assists

NBA Parlay Picks for Kings vs. Mavericks
The Angle: Flagg Leads Mavericks Past Acuff & Struggling Kings
Cooper Flagg 25+ Points
As you might expect from a No. 1 overall pick, Cooper Flagg kept improving as his rookie season went on. From December on, Flagg averaged 22.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists over his final 50 games. The improvement didn't stop there, as he began this season averaging 26.8 points, six rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game.
Flagg has scored 25 points in four of his first five games, including two 30-point games against the Rockets. He has had a 30.8% usage rate thus far and is shooting 55.7% from the field and 85.3% from the free-throw line. Flagg's improvement, along with Kyrie Irving's return, has the Mavericks 12th in offensive rating this season.
Flagg scored 23 and 20 points in two games against the Kings last season. The Kings are 29th in defensive rating this season, so he has plenty of chances to score 25-30 points again tonight.
Pick: Cooper Flagg 25+ Points
Darius Acuff Jr. 25+ Points
After watching Darius Acuff Jr. a ton last season at Arkansas, I'm not surprised his offensive game has immediately translated to the next level. After a rough draft against the Clippers, Acuff has scored 30 points in three of his last five games. He is averaging 26.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game this season.
Some have knocked him for "chucking" as he has attempted 20 field goals in each of his first six games yet is shooting below 40% from the field. However, that kind of volume is music to props bettors' ears.
Secondly, he is shooting 49% over his last two games, and that has translated to 34 points and 14 assists against the Pelicans and 38 points and five assists against the Grizzlies.
Acuff is playing 36 minutes a night and has a 33% usage rate this season. At that volume, he should be able to reach 25-30 points again tonight, especially with Zach LaVine questionable and potentially out.
Pick: Darius Acuff Jr. 25+ Points
Mavericks Moneyline
The Mavericks are off to a 4-2 start (4-1 with Flagg), and that may be surprising to some. They already have wins over the Thunder and Rockets. However, even if they were winless entering tonight's game, I might still pick them tonight.
The Kings actually are still winless, and that is just the start of their troubles. They have lost all of their six games by at least eight points and five of them by double digits. They are 29th in offensive and defensive rating and last with a -17.8 net rating.
Meanwhile, under first-year head coach Dusty May, the Mavericks are playing like a legitimate threat to make the playoffs. They are 15th or better in offensive rating, defensive rating, and net rating (+2.9).
They may be without Irving tonight, as he is questionable, and this seems like a good spot to rest him. However, they will have the best player on the floor tonight in Flagg. I like the young star to lead his team to a win and a cover at home.
Pick: Mavericks Moneyline
