NBA Player Props for Saturday, May 10
- Julius Randle Over 24.5 Points + Assists (-110, Fanatics)
- Jimmy Butler Over 12.5 Rebounds + Assists (-130, DraftKings)
Minnesota evened up the series with a 117-93 victory on Thursday. Julius Randle led the way with 24 points and 11 assists while shooting 10-for-17 from the field. He is now averaging 22.1 points and 5.6 assists in the playoffs.
Randle is clearing this line by over two PA per game in the playoffs.
That has been helped by the fact he has cleared this line in five of his last six games and finished with 24 PA in the lone miss. He has had a lot of opportunity of late and that may continue with Anthony Edwards battling an ankle injury.
This postseason, Randle is averaging 15.3 field goal attempts per game, five three-point attempts, and 6.3 free throw attempts with 48/34/88 shooting splits.
He also has had 10+ potential assists in five of his last seven games, which has had helped him with four assists in six games in that span.
I like Randle to score 20 points tonight as he has done of late. He has come close to clearing this line with just his scoring a few times, but his assists should get him over once again.
Pick: Julius Randle Over 24.5 Points + Assists (-110, Fanatics)
With Stephen Curry on the shelf for the foreseeable future, some may have expected a vintage scoring performance from Jimmy Butler.
He did take 20 field goals in Game 1, but just 13 in Game 2. Well, "Playoff Jimmy" is playing through an injury himself. However, he is contributing in other areas.
Butler is averaging 6.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game in the postseason, which includes the game he left in the first quarter with his pelvic injury.
He has had at least 11 RA in six of the seven playoff games that he has finished and cleared this line in four of them. That includes a three-game stretch with 17, 15, and 19 RA spanning the Rockets and Timberwolves' series.
Butler has 18 rebounds in the first game of this series. The opportunity on the glass should continue given the low scoring nature of this series.
The Warriors have not cracked 100 points in either game thus far while Minnesota only managed 88 points in Game 1. Tonight's total is 200.5 on most books.
However, Butler also has 10 potential assists in six of his eight playoff games. That should at least put him in the neighborhood of five to six assists.
He is averaging six assists to along with nine rebounds in the first two games of this series. If he hits those averages tonight, he will record 13 RA combined and cash this line.
Pick: Jimmy Butler Over 12.5 Rebounds + Assists (-130, DraftKings)
