Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors NBA Preview

Tonight, the 76ers and Raptors will conclude their season series on the second night of a back-to-back. Last night, the Raptors took a 2-1 lead in the season series with a 116-115 overtime victory.

It was a back-and-forth game as the Sixers used a 36-18 third quarter advantage to rally from a 10-point deficit. However, the Raptors battled back to force overtime and won on a Scottie Barnes free throw with 0.8 seconds left.

Barnes led the way for the Raptors with 31 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.

Meanwhile, rookie Collin Murphy-Boyles added 17 points and 15 rebounds in a season-high 42 minutes. They were needed to step up as the team was without Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Jakob Poeltl.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia was without Joel Embiid and Paul George. Neither team has submitted an injury report following last night's game.

However, Embiid figures to return on the second night of the back-to-back and it sounds like Ingram is the most likely candidate to return for Toronto tonight. They will be looking forward to Barrett's return as they are 16-6 with him in the lineup.

Philadelphia will look to salvage a split in the season series tonight and gain ground in the standings. If the season ended today, this would be a 4-5 matchup in the first round.

However, last night's victory gave the Raptors a 1.5 game lead for homecourt advantage in that potential series.

76ers vs Raptors Betting Predictions, Analysis

Though Ingram was out of the lineup last night, Barnes has enjoyed playing Philadelphia over the last few years.

In his last nine games against the 76ers, he is averaging 21.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. He has recorded 30+ PRA in six of those games and cleared over 32.5 in five.

Additionally, with Ingram in the lineup and Barrett out, Barnes is averaging 32 PRA per game this season and cleared this line in nine of 16 games.

With Poeltl out of the lineup, Murray-Boyles sees over 12 more minutes per game. He is averaging 6.9 rebounds per game with him out of the lineup as well as 12.3 rebound chances per game. He has pulled down seven rebounds in six of his last eight games.

Murray-Boyles will have to stay out of foul trouble with Embiid on the other side. Embiid is averaging 28.3 points and 8.4 rebounds over his last 10 games. He has recorded 30 PR or more in nine of his last 10 games.

Maxey took the reins of the offense in his absence with 38 points and five assists. He has recorded 30 PA in nine straight games and in nine of his last 10 with Embiid in the lineup.
