NFL Anytime Touchdown Scorer Props | Saturday Week 15

Every week in the NFL, there’s an angle or matchup to be exploited, whether with the spread and total or with player props.

This also applies to the Anytime Touchdown Scorer (ATD) market.

Each week, I’ll go through every game on the slate to try and identify the players you should be considering in the ATD market and if the betting odds are worth the investment.

Here's my look for the NFL Saturday tripleheader Week 15 Anytime Touchdown Scorer market.

Vikings vs. Bengals

The Vikings and Bengals are somehow both in the thick of the playoff hunt despite losing starting quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow, respectively. The natural thing is to gravitate to the star wide receivers — Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase — as they are the most talented players on the field.

I don’t love the matchup for Jefferson; I think the Vikings will lean heavily on the run game with Nick Mullens at QB. The Bengals have one of the worst run defenses in the league (bottom five in rushing TDs allowed) and they also struggle against tight ends. That’s why I lean RB Ty Chandler at +190 and TE TJ Hockenson at +240 for Vikings TD scorers. I also wouldn’t mind if you sniffed around RB2 Kene Nwangwu at +1000 since Alexander Mattison (ankle) has been ruled out.

For the Bengals, I’d rather take a flier on Tee Higgins at +280 instead of Chase at +150. I know the latter will get the volume, but Browning is looking for Higgins down the field as evidenced by 42- and 30-yard catches against the Colts.

VERDICT: Ty Chandler +190 (PointsBet); T.J. Hockenson +240 (bet365); Tee Higgins +280 (FanDuel).

Steelers vs. Colts

As long as Mitch Trubisky is starting, the only Steelers player I want is Diontae Johnson at +275. He's scored in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2021 season and he has shown a connection with Trubisky (27 targets and two TDs in three games this season).

The Colts offense sputtered last week, but there's just something about Gardner Minshew — points seem to come, even if they are flukey. I'm not sure I can endorse a Colts pass-catcher in this spot with Minshew only averaging one passing TD per game and three total in the last five games.

With the chaos usually associated with Minshew games, I’d rather bank on the Colts D/ST TD at +550. They’ve scored a TD in three of the last five games and it’s not like Trubisky is going to have a clean game.

VERDICT: Diontae Johnson +275 (bet365); Colts D/ST TD +700 (FanDuel).

Broncos vs. Lions

How do we bet anybody on the Broncos who isn't Courtland Sutton? He’s tied for second in the NFL with 10 receiving TDs and has scored in 10-of-13 games.

Sutton, along with Mike Evans, are the most consistent receivers in the ATD market. Even though Sutton's priced at +140, I have to bet on him until he stops hitting. It's also a good matchup against the Lions as their pass defense has regressed as the season has gone on. They've allowed 15 touchdowns to receivers (third worst in the league) and five passing touchdowns in the last three games.

The Lions offense is about to spike. They're playing at home and Jared Goff is infinitely better in a dome than outdoors.

My initial instinct is Josh Reynolds as he’s scored in two of the last three games and has four red-zone targets in that stretch. Another option is Sam LaPorta because the Broncos rank in the bottom five in nearly every receiving category against TEs this season.

VERDICT: Courtland Sutton +130 (bet365); Sam LaPorta +180 (Caesars), Josh Reynolds +400 (PointsBet).
