Jordan Spieth has signed a multi-year deal with FanDuel, the company will announce on Wednesday morning.

Spieth, a three-time major winner who is taking part in the 2021 Northern Trust this week at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey, becomes the latest player to create a partnership with a sportsbook. BetMGM has deals with multiple players, including Jason Kokrak and Kevin Na, while DraftKings has a partnership with Bryson DeChambeau, which started in November 2020.

“I’m excited to work with FanDuel to engage golf fans in a new way and hopefully introduce an entire new fan base to the sport,” Spieth said. “The PGA TOUR has fully embraced legalized sports gaming and we are excited to work with FanDuel to grow interest in the game which is significantly on the rise!”

The PGA TOUR has partnerships with BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel and PointsBet, and it also announced in March a deal with theScore.

The TOUR has embraced sports betting more than most other major sports. Last October during the CJ Cup, it started to provide viewers mentions of live odds during the television broadcast on Golf Channel.

On the course, Spieth has enjoyed a fantastic comeback season. A series of strong finishes that began in February has seen him climb from No 92 in the Official World Golf Rankings up to 12th entering this week’s tournament in New Jersey. Spieth is poised to take part in the Ryder Cup next month at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin.
