Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings and Barstool.

This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half innings from the first innings of two different games. This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.

Our first NRFI selection today will feature Freddy Peralta of the Milwaukee Brewers. This season, Peralta boasts an impressive 18–3 NRFI record with a perfect 12–0 home NRFI split. Overall, Peralta holds an outstanding 30–8 NRFI record since 2022.

When facing leadoff hitters this season, Peralta has been extremely proficient, only allowing 10 hits in 59 at-bats for an impressive .169 average. Against these Rockies hitters in the past, Peralta has held his own, limiting Ryan McMahon to 0–4, Jurickson Profar to 1–4, and Elias Diaz to 1–6.

It's worth noting that Ezequiel Tovar is in the midst of a slump, having achieved only three hits in his last 21 at-bats.

Our second NRFI option today is Atlanta Braves ace Spencer Strider, who is also a potential National League Cy Young winner. This season, Strider boasts an impressive 18–4 NRFI record, with an 8–2 road and home NRFI split, bringing his total NRFI record to 36–6 since 2022.

When facing batters the first time through the order this year, Strider has been proficient, only allowing 38 hits in 183 at-bats, resulting in a mere .208 average.

Strider has a rather small sample size against the Pittsburgh Pirates hitters, but against those he has faced, he has held Ke'Bryan Hayes to 0–3, Andrew McCutchen to 0–2, and Brian Reynolds to 1–3. The Pirates also own one of the highest NRFI rates at home in baseball, boasting an 81% home NRFI rate.

This custom NRFI selection is -190 at Barstool and -200 at DraftKings.

As always, six outs to glory…
