It's a loaded combat weekend in Las Vegas as the trilogy of Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin takes place at T-Mobile Arena while the UFC hosts a Fight Night in the UFC Apex.

The boxing bout will take center stage, and while some are wondering why Canelo and GGG are fighting for a third time, the match is still bound to draw eyes.

At BetMGM, Canelo is listed as a -450 favorite, moving from the original -400 position he started at. He haw drawn 22% of the betting tickets and 33% of the handle.

The underdog, GGG, is receiving far more love from bettors, who are looking at a sizable payout if he can come through. Golovkin has moved from +300 to +350 while tracking 52% of the betting tickets and 52% of the handle.

Interestingly, the pair have already fought to a draw in their history, and that outcome is listed at +2000 and receiving a sizable 26% of the wagers and 15% of the handle. That is a remarkably large betting handle for a tie in a combat sport.

In the UFC world, Cory Sandhagen vs. Song Yadong highlights the UFC card this weekend.

The betting splits are fairly even on the matchup, with Sandhagen amassing 64% of the tickets and 46% of the money at a -190 price.

Yadong currently sits at +155 and accounts for 54% of the money wagered.

The fight that has gotten the most one-sided action is Anthony Hernandez versus Marc-Andre Barriault.

Hernandez has garnered 64% of the wagers and a whopping 91% of the money at a -175 price, slightly moved from the opening of -160.

It won't be the most heavily bet on combat weekend of the year, but these events are something to keep an eye on during college football play.
