Hornets vs Bulls NBA Preview

The Hornets draw a great matchup against the struggling Bulls tonight, who are 0-9 this month and have won just once in their last 13 games.

After numerically being the best team in the league in January, Charlotte's success has carried over into this month despite multiple suspensions.

The Hornets have won 11 of their last 14 games, with their only losses coming in tough matchups against Cleveland, Houston, and Detroit.

Despite Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball missing significant time early this year, the Hornets have an even better net rating this season than Orlando and Philadelphia, and they are 12th in the NBA (!)

Liam McNeeley (ankle) is the only player expected to miss for Charlotte as of this morning.

Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate are both eligible to be back in the lineup and off their suspension.

Ryan Kalkbrenner (ankle) and Coby White (calf) are probable.

Zach Collins (toe), Anfernee Simons (wrist), Jaden Ivey (knee) and Noa Essengue (shoulder) are out. Jalen Smith (calf) is questionable.

Hornets vs Bulls Prediction, Betting Analysis

Kon Knueppel Over 17.5 points is my target here.

Joe Dellera likes LaMelo Ball over on his assists as his three-star play from our Buckets podcast last night.

Knueppel is expected to be in on that action, even with Bridges back and White possibly making his team debut. Although, he's expected to be limited, as Collin Sexton was before the deal, for now at least.

Knueppel had 33 points against the Bulls in December and 18 last month.

The Bulls' defense is six feet under and dropping. They can't guard anyone, especially guards — and now they are up to 30th in highest three-point percentage allowed.

Teams shoot 37.6% from deep against the Bulls, which is the worst mark in the league, and are now down to 25th in defense, while playing at the fifth-fastest pace.

This should be a Kon spot.

Pick: Kon Knueppel Over 17.5 Points (-120, bet365)
