The Pacers take on the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Monday, with Indiana looking to hang on to its spot in the upcoming NBA play-in tournament. The Cavaliers have been struggling to the finish line, operating without stellar, up-and-coming point guard Darius Garland as of late.
Garland has put up 17.7 points and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 39.4% from the 3-point line. It is clear that he will be Cleveland’s building block long-term, whether or not the Collin Sexton experience works out.
While the Cavaliers have lost a whopping 10-straight games, Indiana is struggling as well — the Pacers have lost three of their past five at the worst possible time. The Chicago Bulls are a mere 2.5 games behind the Pacers for the 10th and final spot in the NBA play-in tournament.
The Pacers need this win, and while it’s tough to say how this unpredictable Pacers team will play, recent history has shown that they will put up points. Indiana has gone over on the total in eight of its past 10 games, explaining why sharps are backing the over big-time on Monday night.
Let’s take a look in our latest PRO Report.
NBA Picks: Pacers vs. Cavaliers
The total for Monday’s Pacers-Cavaliers game opened up at 226.5 before it was pushed up to 230.5 ahead of the action.
