Raptors vs. Heat
By Joe Dellera
The Raptors face off against the Heat tonight, and this should be a nice pace-up spot for the Raptors.
Toronto has already ruled out both Poeltl and Barrett for this one, and that naturally helps Barnes. It not only puts the ball in his hands more, but it also gives him more rebounding opportunities.
Barnes has averaged 14.3 rebounds + assists without Poeltl and Barrett in the lineup this season.
I also think that Poeltl's absence may push Miami to run more lineups with Bam Adebayo at the center position instead of going double-big with Bam and Ware; this would also help the rebound opportunities for Barnes.
Due to Miami's fast pace of play, the Heat are a prime matchup for racking up hustle stats — with Miami ranking top-10 in both rebounds and assists allowed on the season.
Pick: Scottie Barnes Over 13.5 Rebounds + Assists (-115)
Pelicans vs. Cavaliers
Bey has excelled since returning to the starting lineup, averaging 19.1 points over the past 14 games.
He's now averaging 17.6 points per game as a starter this season (21 games).
Bey has played 30+ minutes in 10 games for the Pelicans during this recent stretch.
He's averaged 20.2 points in the 12 games this season in which he has topped 30 minutes.
Pick: Saddiq Bey Over 15.5 Points (-110)
Nuggets vs. Mavericks
By Joe Dellera
The Mavericks play their second game of a back to back prior to the Christmas holiday break tonight against the Nuggets.
I would not be shocked to see any of Anthony Davis, Cooper Flagg, or Klay Thompson sit out this second game of the back-to-back set.
Max Christie has been sick and missed Monday's game, and he was horrible in the game over the weekend. So, we are getting a little bit of a buy-low in this spot.
I want to get in on this early before any injury reports are updated for Dallas. But regardless, he has hit this line in 24-of-29 games this season.
