Saddiq Bey under 26.5 PRAs
|Prop||Under 26.5 PRA|
|Matchup||Pistons vs. Nets|
|Time||7:30 p.m. ET|
Saddiq Bey has provided the lowly Pistons some reputable production in his sophomore campaign. He’s averaged 24.8 PRA while playing in every game so far this season (which in today’s NBA, is probably worthy of some kind of an award).
However, with his PRA line sitting at 26.5 tonight, I’m looking to fade the Pistons forward. In the 59 games he’s played alongside rookie Cade Cunningham, Bey’s PRA average sinks to 22.7. And in the 22 games Bey has suited up with Cunningham and without Jerami Grant, his PRA line reverts back to his season average of 24.8. Basically, this line implies a production boost that is not merited.
Detroit is heavy underdogs tonight in Brooklyn against the Nets. With the Pistons “fighting” for the worst record in the NBA, it’s possible that Bey’s minutes will be reduced in a tanking-related effort. Plus, the Nets have been better on the defensive end lately, ranking 12th in the NBA over the last 10 games.
There are several paths to the under on this line tonight. I have Bey projected at 23 PRA.
Pick: Saddiq Bey under 26.5 points, rebounds and assists (-120, FanDuel). Playable to 25.5.
