After two seasons away from Boston, Horford has once again proven to be an important complementary piece for the ascending Celtics. Big Al is averaging 21.1 points + rebounds +assists (PRAs) per game, sparking the Celtics on both ends of the floor.

Primarily playing alongside Robert Williams this season, Horford will now be thrust into the starting center role with the Timelord sidelined. In the 16 games he’s played without Williams, Horford has eclipsed this line 11 times. The Florida alum is averaging 24.7 PRA per 32 minutes when Williams has been off the court.

While the Bulls did clinch a playoff berth last night, I do expect them to have most of their key players suiting up tonight. With Chicago’s lineup running typically smaller, Grant Williams is likely to slide in the Celtics' starting five, which would be a boost to Horford’s rebounding potential (as opposed to playing alongside Daniel Theis).

Playoff seeding remains crucial for the Celtics atop the closely contested Eastern Conference. I have Horford projected for 25 PRA in 30 minutes tonight.
