Sean Paul's Pirates vs Marlins Best Bet

How is Paul Skenes a favorite on the road against a better team than the Pirates?
I don't get it. His price still feels inflated based on the hope that he magically morphs into his 2025 form.
While I believe in him long-term, his velocity has disappeared for two months, and the results have been lackluster.
I have to back Eury Perez and Miami in this matchup.

Jon Anderson's Mariners vs Yankees Best Bet

So we like the Yankees to see and hit Bryan Woo well on Tuesday. The Yankees have some left-handed power hitters who love hitting at home, and Woo gives up a lot of fly balls.
And I also really like what we're seeing with Ryan Weathers and his home run suppression. The Mariners lineup is built on hitting the long ball; that hasn't happened much this year, and Weathers has a pitch mix that keeps the ball on the ground now.

Ryan Minion's Rays vs Athletics Best Bet

I feel confident backing the Rays to win by at least two runs in a game I expect to have plenty of offense, particularly for the Tampa side.
The Rays will send 36-year-old right-hander Nick Martinez to the mound, while the A’s will trot out 25-year-old righty Mason Barnett in a pitching matchup that should heavily favor Tampa Bay.
In 22 appearances this season, Martinez has been phenomenal, posting an 2.65 ERA and ranking eighth in all of baseball among starters.
Tampa’s righty has been quite efficient as well, as he enters Tuesday’s matchup with a 1.10 WHIP, which also ranks inside the top 15 for starting pitchers.
While Martinez is posting career-best metrics across the board, Barnett has struggled mightily on the bump in just his second season in the Major Leagues.
In 34 frames on the mound in 2026, the A's pitcher has recorded an abysmal 5.56 ERA along with a 1.38 WHIP throughout his 16 appearances.
The Athletics are also short-handed, with lefty slugger Nick Kurtz having just hit the shelf with a sprained thumb, so this is a spot I heavily favor the Rays given the far superior starting pitcher and lineup.
That said, I feel confident backing the Rays run line.

Frank Ammirante's Royals vs Dodgers Best Bet
I'm on Blake Snell's Over 6.5 strikeouts tonight.
Snell is one of the most prolific strikeout pitchers in baseball, putting up a 30% strikeout rate or better in seven of his past eight seasons. At first glance, 6.5 strikeouts seems like a high bar for a pitcher making his first start in several months, but if you dig a bit deeper, it's an appealing wager at the current price.
Snell had 19 strikeouts in 11.2 innings in his four rehab starts in the minors. In his last outing, he was built up to 73 pitches, so there shouldn't be too many restrictions on his workload tonight.
We'll likely see 80-85 pitches tonight, which could get him through five innings, as long as he doesn't struggle with command.
