NBA Injury News

5:30 p.m. ET Update: Spencer Dinwiddie has been rule out of tonight's game against the Hawks for rest.

2 p.m. ET Update: The Dallas Mavericks have officially ruled out Kristaps Porzingis who is nursing a back injury. Trey Burke has been ruled out due to health and safety protocols and Sterling Brown is out with an ankle sprain.

Daniel Gafford will sit for the Washington Wizards after going down in Wednesday night's game with a quad injury. He was scheduled to have an MRI on Thursday and Montrezl Harrell will likely get the start.

The Chicago Bulls have listed Zach LaVine as questionable ahead of their matchup against the New York Knicks on Thursday. According to Shams Charania, LaVine is dealing with a small ligament tear in the thumb of his non-shooting hand. LaVine was limited in practice on Wednesday and told reporters, "I try to play through everything. If I'm able to, I will. If not we'll see how it goes."

Joel Embiid is again listed as questionable for the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of their home matchup with the Detroit Pistons. Embiid has been dealing with knee soreness since the start of the season and will likely have the questionable tag on him for every game for the foreseeable future.

On the other side of that matchup, Jerami Grant is also questionable as he continues to deal with an elbow infection. Grant sat out the Pistons' most recent game and is considered day-to-day.

The Dallas Mavericks hope to have Kristaps Porzingis available tonight for their game against the San Antonio Spurs. Porzingis played just 20 minutes on Tuesday before being sidelined with tightness in his lower back.
