The NBA postseason has officially arrived, and with the high-stakes nature of the Play-In Tournament comes the perfect opportunity to hunt for outsized value in the player prop market. While standard over/under lines offer a baseline, we are looking for the ceiling.

By using our Pick Labs Ladders Tool, we can identify which players are statistically primed to shatter their projected totals. Below, we break down two "ladder" opportunities for tonight’s doubleheader—spots where the math suggests a massive edge on alternate lines.

NBA Prop Ladders for Tonight's Play-In Tournament Games

  • Wendell Carter Jr. Blocks Ladder
  • Dillon Brooks Rebounds Ladder

Wendell Carter Jr. Blocks Ladder

The Orlando Magic are fighting for their season against the Charlotte Hornets, and Wendell Carter Jr. has quietly become a brick wall in the paint.

Our projections show a significant edge on his block rungs tonight, particularly at the plus-money base.

  • 1+ Blocks (+109): 57.8% Projected Chance (9.9% Edge)

  • 2+ Blocks (+563): 21.4% Projected Chance (6.3% Edge)

The Analysis: Carter Jr. has found a defensive rhythm at the perfect time. He enters tonight having recorded at least one block in four straight games.

More impressively, he has also turned into a multi-block threat lately, swatting 2+ shots in back-to-back games, including a 2-block performance in the Magic’s opening Play-In game against the 76ers.

With Charlotte likely attacking the rim through Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges, Carter Jr. will have plenty of opportunities to contest at the cup.

Dillon Brooks Rebounds Ladder

The Phoenix Suns are leaning on Dillon Brooks for more than just perimeter defense in their win-or-go-home clash with the Golden State Warriors.

Brooks finally saw a normal workload in the Suns' first play-in game against Portland, which naturally translated to a higher rebounding floor.

  • 5+ Rebounds (+156): 68.5% Projected Chance (29.5% Edge)

  • 6+ Rebounds (+311): 52.3% Projected Chance (28.0% Edge)

  • 7+ Rebounds (+610): 36.3% Projected Chance (22.2% Edge)

The Analysis: Brooks was a force on the glass in the Suns' first Play-In game against the Blazers, hauling in 7 rebounds.

The most important data point, however, is his workload. After returning from injury late in the regular season, Brooks was capped at 33 minutes or less for six straight games. That restriction appears to be gone now; he played 37 minutes against Portland and looked good to go in that game.

In a must-win game against a Warriors team that shoots a high volume of threes, long rebounds will be plentiful.

Brooks is a hustle player, and with his minutes trending toward the high 30s, he should be aggressive in crashing the boards.
