Jazz vs. Nuggets
By Joe Dellera
The Nuggets face off against the Jazz after a tough couple games against the Rockets and the Magic.
Now, Denver gets an ultra pace-up spot against one of the league’s worst defenses.
The Jazz are particularly weak against spot-up shooters and in transition — two areas where Tim Hardaway excels.
One of the key details here is Payton Watson should return today, and this sends Hardaway into more of the bench minutes with Jokic.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as he has seen his role increase without Gordon and Braun anyway. On the season, he is averaging 12.7 points per game without them.
Pick: Tim Hardaway Over 12.5 Points (+100)
Mavericks vs. Pelicans
By Alex Hinton
Yesterday, Cooper Flagg turned 19 years old, so he probably enjoyed having a bit of an off day. However, it also ends one of the best runs by an 18-year-old that the league has ever seen.
Among 18-year-olds, Flagg ranks in the top five all-time in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, while ranking second or better in three of those categories — averaging 18.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
If Flagg is available tonight, he should be a significant factor.
Over his last 10 games, Flagg is averaging 24 points per game, scoring 20 or more in seven of them. He has also scored 20 points in both games against the Pelicans this season.
Pick: Cooper Flagg 20+ Points (-170)
Hornets vs. Cavaliers
Jaylon Tyson stayed under this number last game, even with Mitchell out. However, he hasn’t gone under in two straight games since emerging over the last month.
Tyson has gone over this number in nine of his last 13 games, and as I've mentioned multiple times recently, Tyson over points + rebounds is maybe my most-played prop of the season — or at least over the last three to four weeks.
He plays big minutes. He can shoot. He crashes the glass — and the Cavs are going to need him.
