Summary

Michael obviously has great timing as he joined The Action Network right at the start of the pandemic during the NCAA Tournament when one by one games were taken off the betting board. He later made his debut in July when Major League Baseball was the first American sport to return to the playing field. Michael closely follows all major sports (with the exception of the NHL) and specializes in women's college basketball.

Experience

Michael's always been involved in sports and earlier in his career, he worked for College Sports Television (CSTV) which later became CBS College Sports. He grew up as a big Mike and the Mad Dog fan and often called into the show. When Mike Francesca was looking for a new partner, Michael sat across from the radio icon at Bar A as the host peppered him with questions about his Mets fandom. Ever since that day, Michael knew that at some point he'd end up back in sports media. He occasionally spends some time each month scouring the internet with the hope of finding the footage of his debut on the Yes Network.

Education

Michael attended the University of Richmond as a student athlete and goalkeeper for the soccer team. In his senior year, he helped lead his team to an NCAA Tournament at-large berth. At Richmond, he studied Economics before earning his MBA at Rutgers University. He's always been comfortable working with numbers and enjoys spending time building and tinkering with his betting models.

Betting Highlights
Favorite Bet of All-Time
My favorite bet or bet(s) would have to be anytime I cash an exotic ticket that's at least 12 legs long. I've cashed two 15-leg teasers before and also a 12-leg parlay that included eight Little League World Series games.
Most Heartbreaking Bet
I doubt anyone remembers this game but I backed the Calgary Stampeders of CFL in the blistery, snowy, 2017 Grey Cup Final. With five minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Stampeders were inside the red zone and about to add on to their 24-16 lead with a touchdown. However, Kamar Jorden fumbled the ball forward into the endzone and Cassius Vaughn of the Toronto Argonauts ran the ball back 109 yards for a touchdown in the other direction. Toronto then added a two-point conversion and later won the game 27-24. It was the final leg of a very significant teaser ticket and it's a game that will live on in infamy in my mind for the rest of my life.
