  • Josh Gordon landed on an NFL roster Monday and is gearing up for his first action since 2019.
  • The Action Network's Chris Raybon offers insight on how it affects his fantasy football outlook.

Wide receiver Josh Gordon parlayed his reinstatement to the NFL into a spot on a contending Kansas City Chiefs roster.

Now, he's potentially back into the fantasy fold.

Gordon — who once led the league in both catches (87) and receiving yards (1,646) in 2013 — joins a talented skill corps featuring pass-catchers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce and all-world quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"Gordon looked washed last time we saw him in 2019, catching seven passes across five games with the Seahawks after being relatively productive with the Patriots (20/287/1 in six games) earlier that year," The Action Network's Chris Raybon said.

"Gordon is probably still good enough to replace Daurice Fountain as the sixth receiver on the active roster, but since he doesn’t play special teams, he’d likely be inactive on game days.

"There’s an outside shot he still has enough juice to work his way into the Sammy Watkins/Demarcus Robinson role, but the organization seems to like Robinson, so it’s a long shot."

Gordon, 30, has played for Seattle, New England and Cleveland.

The Baylor product finished WR1 in fantasy at the height of his career in 2013. He ranked fifth in all of football in yards per reception (18.7), eighth in targets per game (11.4) and 12th in target share (27.4%) with Cleveland.

The Chiefs — who are 1-2 this year — rank 12th in the league in pass-play frequency (61.8%). They finished fifth in this department in 2020.

Kansas City's a 6.5-point road favorite in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The total of 55, meanwhile, is the highest on the board at DraftKings as of Monday evening.
