Wisconsin and the nation’s fourth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish will duke it out on Sunday at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The Irish are 20.5-point favorites here, while the Badgers are sitting at +950 to pull off the upset.
Below, I will briefly touch upon both teams and further provide a “same-game-parlay” (SGP) betting angle that you can take when wagering on Sunday’s action!

Spread Pick: Notre Dame -16.5
For the first leg of my Sunday night SGP, I’m looking to lay an alternate 16.5-point spread with the Irish.
I’m very high on Marcus Freeman, CJ Carr, and the Irish. I think they win the Natty this season.
This season is personal. They’re going to be fired up after just missing out on the CFP last season. I expect them to make a statement in the opener.
Carr was terrific last year, racking up 2,700 yards and 24 touchdowns. I have high expectations for his Junior season.
Although Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price are on to the NFL, Aneyas Williams is a versatile running back and is primed for a monster campaign.
Notre Dame also returns its WR1 from last season, Jordan Faison, and the team’s receiving yards leader from 2024, Jaden Greathouse (he missed most of last season with a hamstring strain).
Notre Dame also returns most of last season’s elite defense, higlighted by the most talented linebacking corps in the country (Drayk Bowen, Jaylen Sneed, Jaiden Ausberry, Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asua, and others). Cornerback Leonard Moore also returns, and I think he’ll be one of the best players in the country this year (and a future top-10 pick).
On the other hand, Wisconsin has turned over a good portion of its roster, and I think it’ll take some time for the Badgers to build cohesion and continuity.
New QB1 Colton Joseph put up big numbers at Old Dominion, but he’s largely untested against Power 4 defenses, and this will be the toughest matchup he’ll face this season. Not to mention, I’m not super high on the Badgers’ skill-position players.
The Badgers also aren’t fully healthy, with the right side of their offensive line in jeopardy of missing the game (right tackle Kevin Haywood and right guard Emerson Mandell).
I’m fully expecting a blowout victory for the Irish on Sunday night.
Notre Dame Player Prop: CJ Carr Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
For the second leg of my Sunday night SGP, I’m looking for Carr to toss at least a pair of touchdown passes.
Last season, Carr ranked among the top-five FBS quarterbacks in passer rating and yards per attempt. I think he has a really high upside this season, as Notre Dame might want to throw the ball more without Love and Price.
Notre Dame should clear 30 points easy, and I imagine Carr will get plenty of opportunities.
