We have three NBA props for this Wednesday, and our staff of basketball betting experts is focused on key players who could be in line for noteworthy performances in Game 5 between the Warriors and Timberwolves tonight.
Continue below for my NBA player props for Wednesday, May 14.
NBA Player Props for Wednesday, May 14
- Julius Randle Over 21.5 Points (-120, ESPN)
- Jonathan Kuminga Over 17.5 Points (-118, MGM)
- Rudy Gobert 4+ First Quarter Rebounds (+120, Bet365)
Julius Randle has been red hot this entire postseason and is averaging 23.3 points per game. He has been a stabilizing force for this Timberwolves team and has really been able to get into the teeth of the defense in this series.
Randle is coming off a 31 point performance where he punished the Warriors on the interior but also from beyond the arc. They tried to sell out a bit to defend the paint but he made them pay from deep on some open looks. Considering he can score at every level against this relatively small Warriors team and there's reason to believe his strong scoring will continue.
Pick: Julius Randle Over 21.5 Points (-120, ESPN)
Jonathan Kuminga has been the only consistent offense for this Warriors team without Steph Curry. He's scored 18, 30, and 23 points in his last three games and will be given as much as he can handle considering the situation.
One of the keys last time out was he got to the line 12 times and converted 11 of those opportunities. He's able to generate contact which is something only Butler has been able to do with any type of consistency for Golden State.
In a desperation spot down 3-1 plus his upcoming contract negotiations, Kuminga has all of the reasons in the world to be aggressive and score the basketball.
Pick: Jonathan Kuminga Over 17.5 Points (-118, MGM)
Gobert burned us on this prop last time out but I'm looking back to the well considering he still plays that extended 1Q rotation.
Gobert has a number of exploitable characteristics but he still is a strong rebounding threat. He’s recorded 5, 5, 7, and 3 rebounds in the 1Q this series against a relatively undersized Warriors team that has struggled on the offensive side of the ball without Steph Curry.
He gets tip-in opportunities on the offensive glass as well so he should get a chance to get back to his rebounding ways after just 3 last time out.
Pick: Rudy Gobert 4+ First Quarter Rebounds (+120, Bet365)
