Iowa State vs Colorado Preview

Iowa State Cyclones Betting Preview: Injuries Set to Stifle Clones
The Cyclones come into this matchup off their first loss of the season, which was suffered at the hands of the Cincinnati Bearcats.
While they mounted a bit of a comeback, the losses outside of the final score loom large for this week. Starting running back Carson Hansen suffered a concussion and was listed as questionable on the injury report that came out on Wednesday.
Iowa State has run the ball nearly 55% of the time. The rushing attack has been rather inefficient, but still, the Cyclones' scheme could be impacted with Abu Sama III likely becoming the lead back.
Another big injury is to place kicker Kyle Konrardy. Konrardy's absence has forced the Cyclones to be more aggressive on early downs, as field goals are far from a given without him.
Meanwhile, quarterback Rocco Becht is facing a stiff Colorado secondary that ranks 36th in opponent completion percentage. The Cyclones' offense could stall on multiple occasions in this one and come away with no points, even if they're able to put drives together.

Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview: Buffs to Break Out?
On the other side of this matchup, we have a Colorado team that's struggled to get it going offensively against Big 12 opposition. The Buffaloes are 0-3 in conference play and haven't scored more than 21 points in those losses.
They're set to face an Iowa State defense that will be without two starting cornerbacks and has been vulnerable against the run.
Dual-threat quarterback Kaidon Salter has to capitalize on those areas.
Although Salter has been largely ineffective on the ground, it'll be up to him to make plays with his arm. Despite key injuries, the Cyclones have managed not to allow many big plays, as they rank 38th in yards per pass allowed.
This is the chance for the Buffaloes to prove they can hang with Big 12 competition, but they've yet to show signs that they'll do so Saturday.

Iowa State vs Colorado Pick, Betting Analysis
The total in this matchup has come down since opening and rightfully so, as the injuries on the Iowa State side are very impactful.
However, the total still has value, as these offenses aren't going to break out.
On the Iowa State side, the game falls on the arm of Becht, who's shown the ability to make big plays through the air, but overall isn't an efficient passer.
The same can be said for Salter on the other side of the ball.
The rushing attack for Colorado may be revitalized in this one, but that'll only lead to longer possessions and less time for either offense to put points on the board.
Pick: Under 52
